Aligning quality standards with better early warnings

Agency of Civil Aviation and Meteorology of Senegal (ANACIM) is aligning its meteorological services with ISO 9001:2015 quality management standard through trainings of its observers and forecasters. This compliance is a first step towards enhancing the quality of its early warning system as well as continuing strengthening its early warning capacities. This action will also help strengthen the capacity of ANACIM forecasters in extreme weather and impact-based forecasting—contributing to more consistent and actionable early warning services in Senegal.
