East Africa

East Africa has a diverse terrain and climate with a wide range of vegetation landscapes. The substantial increase in climate impacts coupled with rapid urbanization represents a key challenge in the region. Given the growing concentration of people and assets in high-hazard areas, the region’s exposure to a slew of natural hazards is also continuously growing.
