“CREWS is an essential partner supporting Cambodia in strengthening its early warning systems, building resilience to climate risks, and safeguarding communities through timely and reliable information. In the next five years, we hope to see CREWS continue advancing people-centered early warning services, strengthening national capacities, and deepening regional cooperation, so that every community can act early and stay safe.” — Vannareth Seth, Advisor, Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology and Permanent Representative of Cambodia with WMO

Through this new phase, both countries will receive support to:

  • Enhance the effectiveness and reach of early warning and early action systems to improve disaster preparedness and resilience
  • Improve data collection, forecasting, and hazard communication
  • Build national and local capacity to deliver timely, actionable climate information
  • Support vulnerable communities in preparing for and responding to climate risks

A unique feature of this programme is that it brings together national agencies, international partners, and local communities with a shared commitment to building a safer, more informed, and more resilient future.
